Let Ease Services Remove & Clean Out Your Home
Ease Services Procedure
After a contract has been signed, Ease Services enters the home and determine what can be donated from what can’t be donated.
We begin with donating items.
- We remove all the large items and place them into the trucks. If any of the large items that have contents in them we box or bag those items before that item is moved.
- Next we start moving the rest of the items into the trucks that are too big to fit into a box or a bag.
- Next we bag the contents of the closets along with any loose garments that may be hanging in other places in the home and put these in the trucks.
- At this time there is one of our staff wrapping and boxing the kitchen glassware. She has also looked for any other glassware that needs to be wrapped and boxed in the home. At this time we are also boxing any food products that are not open or expired to donate to a local food pantry.
- If there are open packages, we empty the contents into the garbage and save the empty package for recycling. The refrigerators and freezers are emptied in the same manor.
- At this time we gather all the household recyclables and place them into containers to be taken to the local recycling center. Recyclables include all paper products, most plastic containers and bottles, dry cleaner bags, aluminum tin and steel cans, glass jars, food jars, beer, wine and liquor bottles, damaged/tore books. It’s really amazing how much recycling can be done.
- Next we separate the industrial recycling. This is mostly metal that’s not allowed into the household recycling
center. Things like wire cloths hangers, cans of nuts and bolts, broken tools, any thing of the heavier metal family. These items are taken to the local scrap yard to be melted down.
- Paints are looked at next. We gather up all the paints and bring them to a paint recovery center. If there are solvents, acids, or solutions in the home, we generally reintroduce them back into an industry that uses that product. If there are any hazardous materials in the home we approach them as needed.
- In the event that there’s a freezer or a refrigerator that’s not working, we take that item to a recovery center to have the refrigerant removed from that appliance. After this is done the appliance is safe for the environment and be dropped off at a local scrap yard.
- Now that all the usable items, recyclables, house hold and industrial, paints, chemicals, and refrigerants are removed, the remainder goes to the land fill.
- Not only are we helping to Ease the transition of your home, we are also lessoning the impact on the environment.
